Certified Nursing Assistant

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct care to the residents of the health and rehabilitation center, assisting them in activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of a professional nurse. Those duties include but are not limited to: bathing, dressing, serves and collects food trays, feeds residents, measures and records weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output as directed.

Qualifications:

Must have current Virginia Nurse Aide license in good standing or be within 100 days of completion of state approved CNA course.

LPN Charge Nurse

Gretna Health & Rehabilitation Center in Gretna is seeking LPNs for its 90 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center.

The LPN supervises CNAs and provides direct patient care in accordance with state, federal and MFA guidelines. Provides general nursing care to patients in accordance with state and federal regulations and MFA nursing policy and procedures. Writes weekly/monthly summaries of patients’ status, abilities and addresses problems identified in the patient care plan for RN review.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

Current license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

One (1) year of previous nursing experience preferred. New Grads welcome to apply.

Physical Therapist PT

 

Gretna Health & Rehabilitation Center in Gretna, Virginia is seeking a caring, warm-hearted Physical Therapist who is currently licensed in Virginia or is a graduate from an approved Physical Therapist program and is actively working toward obtaining licensure. Be a part of our experienced team of rehabilitation professionals who are committed to helping each patient recover the strengths, skills, independence, and confidence to return home to family and friends, and an active life. Our in-house team of compassionate physical, occupational, and speech therapists provides rehab services in a state-of-the-art rehab gym. Whether you are a seasoned professional or at the beginning of your career, utilize your talents as a Physical Therapist to improve the lives of others.

 

The Physical Therapist evaluates residents, develops effective treatment plans, and obtains approval for service from the referring physician. Treats residents according to the physician’s treatment plan. Participates in discharge planning. Records evaluation, treatment, and charges. Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides. Screens residents for potential benefit from PT intervention.

 

Requirements:
•Virginia Physical Therapy License
•Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.
